Guaranteed Issue Health
Insurance
Guaranteed issue means exactly
how it sounds, the policy is 'guaranteed to be issued to you', in other words they will not decline you
due to medical conditions. Needless to say this type of policy can be appealing to those with serious pre-existing conditions.
Although they can not decline you, they do not automatically cover you
for any pre-existing medical expenses. Each carrier and plan type
have their own specifics and it important to ask your health agent this
question if a serious pre-existing condition does exist.
Individual health insurance plans
are NOT 'guaranteed issue', and depending on the carrier, if you fall
into what they consider 'high-risk', they can deny your application.
- Daily hospital benefits
- Doctors visits
- Accidental death and
dismemberment
- Prescription Drug discounts
- Vision Discounts
- Dental Discounts
In addition to being a guaranteed
issue many of these policies are also guaranteed renewable.
